There are no "Greek genes" or "Turkish genes". What makes somebody Greek or Turkish are things like language and culture and a sense of identity and desire to be part of a common group.
Did you really think that there was the "Original Greek man" and the "Original Greek woman", and that the Greek nation is the result of interbreeding between the offspring of those 2 people? That is ridiculous. No nation was formed like that. Many different people mixed and mixed again over and over and what created the nations was not some commonalities found with DNA analysis, but a common language and culture that gradually evolved and the desire of those people to be part of that nation.
How unfortunate that in your eyes all the above apply to everyone else except Cypriots!
For in the Greek gymnasium’s teachings, Cypriots are forbidden to have had a culture and distinct identity!
In what way it does not apply to Cypriots? It applies to Cypriots in the same way that it applies to Cretans, Rhodians, Athenians and everybody else.
Every place can have a distinct culture and identity. Paphians have an identity and culture that has differences from that of Nicocians. And Liverpudlians have a culture and identity which has differences from Londoners. It doesn't mean that every variation in culture and identity results in a different ethnic group.
I can be Limassolian and Cypriot and Greek and European, just like somebody else can be Londoner, English, British, European. Trying to force people to choose between being Cypriot or being Greek is a false dilemma which is politically motivated and promoted by those who want to isolate Cyprus from the rest of our nation so it will be easier for themselves to continue to exploit our island on our expense.
