How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

bananiot
Are these the same values that we once supported for our Palestinian friends but have recently abandoned in order to pursue our apparent interests alongside those that commit crimes against humanity?

Bananiot, my values towards the palestinian has not changed. Neither has my values about TC's and that they too have a stake in Cyprus, however they do not have a stake in one occupied area which they call their zone and exclude others who have the right to belong there.

Property issue is already resolved by the ruling in ECHR. It is a matter of accepting it and implementing it. As to Territory, we are not that far apart. Last offer was 25 VS 29%. With the Help of the Brits we shall close the gap and have the percentage required where everybody gets what they want.
I gather that there is an agreement already that TL will be legal tender in the south for one year after the agreement and then Euro will be the only currency to be used thereafter.

We are very very very near an agreement.

The eBrits will not give anything .........
The TC's need to hand back everything from Apostolos Andreas to Varosha that will give them about 25%
The ECHR has declared that original owners have the right to access property, for thos enot wanting to return compensation ought to be given so the TC family that has been living there for 35 years can remain there if they wish, for those wanting to return to their villages in the free areas financial support as refugees should eb given to them to rebuild homes

Here is the bit that I particularly don't like.

" The United States will not get involved in the talks BUT, have pledged to provide help BACKSTAGE".

Would that be the same 'BACKSTAGE' that saw the help they provided prior to the invasion when Henry Kissinger was putting on his 'Stage Makeup' ?.

How on Earth can anyone claim to be close to a settlement when these 2 very important areas have been ignored for the three years of talks is quite beyond understanding.

Billy Willy Boy ..........Cyprus problem did not started from Territory or Property problems ....First let them to solve power sharing and ....economy ....and security ....rest will solve very easily.Money matters and property matters can be solved very easily my boy ....Equality and sharing the country :!: where there will be no Greek or Turkish domination over the island and freed from military presence on the island.(demilitarize the island)

Halil bey, let's see how easily the territory issue can be resolved file... cos the Territory Matter can be solved very easily and very equitably... Do you agree the northern Zone should comprise 18% ? ... that is fair isn't it?

No problem for me Billy Willy boy .....Let them to study cadastro records for both side than percentages will come out....as i said Cyprus problem did not started from the propert matters....by brainwashing the peoples only with property is wrong.

When Turkey does the same for the Kurds, we will think about it, but not before.

You are living in denial.

if there was a common understanding with regards to the definition of 'sharing', 'equality', 'property', 'security', 'majority', 'minority' there would not be a problem. Unfortunately, Turkish has a different dictionary and interpretation to the rest of the world.

the solution to the 'Cyprob' has been evident from a long time ago and it was not limited to the property issue rulings by the ECHR.
