GB and the Cyprus EEZ

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

GB and the Cyprus EEZ

Postby bill cobbett » Wed Nov 09, 2011 3:07 pm

You'll see reports in the usual places of the meeting in London yesterday between the GB Secretary for the Dominions and Colonies, Mr Hague and the Cyprus Foreign Minister, the CF pin-up girl Mrs Kozakou-Markoullis.

Here's a sentence from the speech yesterday that sums up what Mr Hague had to say on gas...

"British Foreign Secretary William Hague said his country supports fully and unequivocally the rights of Cyprus to its EEZ."

Very nice am sure, but there remains a problem if we are to consider the CY EEZ and GB together and it's the little matter that you will all be familiar with and that is at the back end of the 2004 Annan Scam Plan there was a section that would have allowed for the first time the GB SBAs to have a large chunk of the CY EEZ.

Yet there is no ref in what Mr Hague had to say yesterday that such an outrageous claim would not be repeated in a future Ban Ki-Moon CY Settlement Plan.

Mrs Kozakou-Markoullis (bless her never the less) did not bring it up (not in public anyway) and as you can imagine it didn't occur to any of the rubbish "journalists" who were there to press Mr Hague to drop any such future claim.

The Annan plan was truly evil. As a part of any settlement the SBA should vanish and become a true part of the ROC. End of issue over EEZ.

I wonder how many Greek Cypriots would support the Annan Scam today! My guess is less than 10%!

Yes, that might be a bit of a problem, because some of them are in both lists.
