Are you Homer Simpson?

I wish.
No, I'm just an unemployed nuclear scientist. The RoC rejected my proposal for WMD.

I don't want to sound too pompous or anything, but, I expected for the Gas finds to be worth a lot more money than the $38 Billion suggested for Block 12.

Now, if ALL individual Blocks are each worth $38 Billion plus, then we are taking about serious money here.

Have just tried to do a few calculations using these figures, to do a per person calculation... but the display on the calculator isn't wide enough... :D

...ask Turkey's PM, he has plans for them, "and they'll be portable", too!

It's about $38,000 per person, just for Block 12.

If ALL 12 blocks have a equal value, then it's about $456,000 per person based on 1 million population. Now we are talking!

The GB and Norway example in the North Sea is that the extractors pay taxes on the value of the gas/oil they extract with any business costs such as extraction and conversion costs being allowed as an off-set against tax liabilities in the normal way, in other words a tax on profits.

Question is what arrangement has been made between the Republic and Noble???
