Illegal Regime "trnc" Rejects BBF

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No. The British inherited and continued using the "ethnic" divisions as created by the Ottomans. The British simply translated a "Rum" into "Greek Cypriot" and a "???" (I forget now what they called them) into "Turkish Cypriot".

So we're agreeing that the British came up with the labels 'Greek Cypriot' and 'Turkish Cypriot'.

They TRANSLATED what the Ottomans were using but they did not invent them.

The British did use 'Muslim' and 'Non-Muslim' labels I think in the 1930's but then the ethnic Greeks protested. Don't forget that the British wanted to create an ethnic dispute. Classic divide and rule.
