Whether we like it or not, there is a chance that early in the New Year the international perspectives of a settlement will go to an "international conference" which is generally taken to mean one that is limited to the UnHoly Trinity of GB, Greece and Turkey, plus the Republic plus a Spokesperson for the Illegal Settlers.
Now given the the UN Security Council has, over the years, produced a number of Resolutions, any thoughts on an insistence that rather than the usual three suspects, that the international conference should be limited to the four Permanent Members of the Security Council (excluding the fifth member, the former Colonial Power GB) together with a representation from the European Union?
After all CY is a member state of the Union and Europe will wish to see that any settlement does have the benefit of expert opinion on European Values and Principles and Freedoms and the Security Council may wish to see that all those very nice Resolutions are covered in a settlement.
