Talat denied entry to Australia

FORMER Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat has been denied entry into Australia because his Turkish diplomatic passport read “former president of the TRNC,” it was reported yesterday.

According to Turkish Cypriot news portal Kibris Postasi, the Australian embassy in Nicosia refused to grant a visa for him to travel to Sydney and Melbourne where he was scheduled to give lectures.

Kibris Postasi said Talat had travelled to many countries with the same passport when he was the leader of the Turkish Cypriots while Australia had granted him a visa in the past despite it saying “former TRNC president.”

The report said efforts were made by the Turkish foreign ministry to change the decision but to no avail.

Talat had to cancel his trip and the lectures, the report said.

Obviously, someone within the Australian Embassy took offence to the "trnc" passport and Talat's pseudo title.

He was denied on the grounds of terrorism. For four whole years he was terrorizing the brain cells of the RoC, and Australia takes such threats very seriously.

Quite right, chaps. You cannot have someone just turning up and claiming to be "ex-President" of a state that doesn't exist. Clearly this person who calls himself "Mehmet Ali Talat - former President of the TRNC " is deranged and needs to be detained for psychiatric evaluation.

The whole passport is false and he tried to enter Australia with it. This is chicanery, scammers use lies and deceit to achieve their goals.
