Truth be told, Australia is an unyielding Police state… you could be driving 62km in a 60km zone, and they treat you like a hardened criminal!

In these dangerous times people who travel with passports containing false information are asking for trouble, at the very least to be denied entry.

... and why was this chap travelling with Turkish Diplomatic documents ? The border officers in Oz were quite right to turn away an obvious scamster.

So what was his scam?

Attempting to travel with a false document. A serious offence with so many criminals, illegal immigrants and terrorists travelling on fake passports. We can only be grateful that the vigilance of the Australian embassy caught this man in time. Personally I believe he should've been investigated further and questioned for involvement in any criminal activity...

We are all just assuming guys. I think the reason was more solid than what the newspapers reported.
Let's concentrate on FACTS:

The Australian embassy in NICOSIA-CYPRUS refused to issue a visa to a known CYPRIOT, holding a MAINLAND TURKISH passport.

I will try with my Egyptian passport tomorrow and let you know.
