The biggest ethnic group in Cyprus is Greek and the secondary ethnic group is Turkish. Then there are small groups like the Armenians, Latins and Maronites and also immigrants that came more recently like British and Russians. But there is a small minority in Cyprus who say that they do not belong in any of these ethnic groups and they claim that they grew out of the soil of Cyprus Of course nobody with above average IQ will believe such bullshit I say that most of them are Arabs or Gypsies. Considering the position of Cyprus it would be inevitable to have some Arabs here and we all know that some Gypsies came to Cyprus also who learned Greek and Turkish but they never really changed. What do you think?

How about Phoenicians? I know that some GCs do claim that Cypriots are of Phoenician origin. They are supporters of AKEL and Omonia usually and some of them burn Greek Flags during football games. I think they are also called “Neo-Cypriots”.
