...we must define Bicommunal and Bizonal, so perfectly that even under Turkish scrutiny it serves as a template toward demonstrating the identity of the Person (Kurd, Armenian, Turk) within a State (as Individuals). most imortantly, self-representation brings People as Persons closer to their tax dollars, this money well spent toward their daily lives. having such National Assemblies assures, at least that a reciprocal respect for Minority Rights exists, having a common identity where they are united allows for standards to be set, where they are equal in having to acheive them.
"Ah, so nothing is agreed until everything is agreed then."
...and what is wrong with enclaves? in this context, it will allow for a Maronite, and an Armenian National Assembly. they guarantee that the Green Line, even if it remains as another one of many frontiers, is never a border which can be militarised. fururistically, it allows for an even larger ethnography for Cypriots as one People.
...these are not new ideas, given that there are thirty years plus of proposals, it still seems that they are my own. i'd say they are the kind of thinking that makes the above statement courageous, but our Leaders must demonstrate a Principal which is Universal, Cypriots, not "Greeks" and "Turks", to acheive the heights Mankind has asked of us.
cheers.
