So the age of consent for homosexuals remains at 18!

The Criminal Code, Chapter 154, Article 154 provides that the age of consent for sexual activity is seventeen (17) years of age ! This applies to both hetrosexual or homosexual activity.. I do not know what law provides for "autosexuals" like you.

Bill. I agree with you on this. Except this is not just about Sarris's right to pursue his sexual orientation. This incident involves a former Cypriot government minister travelling to the occupied areas for a "massage" with a young Turkish settler and male prostitute. It's really, for me, a question of judgement and personal integrity. The bloke can do what he pleases within the laws of the free areas but going to the north to pay for sex with a Turkish settler is not what you expect of your politicians and leaders.
Guilty as charged, lock me up and throw me in the nearest Turkish Dungeon...
... Yes, ok, the judgement question is an important one, but it ain't a criminal offence to show such poor judgement.

Such homophobia usually indicates something that is underlying within them. They just haven't been honest with themselves or their wives.

But on this judgement business, let's keep in mind that CY remains a pretty religious and traditional place despite the changes in the law on same sex relationships, with a Church (and presumably Mosques) that have a far greater influence with their "teachings" and "moral guidances" than many other places, such as here in GB.
