Bagis asks for EU support.
http://www.todayszaman.com/news-260321- ... orism.html

Turkey requests the support of EU against PKK, but at the same time denies to abide by its principals and by its instructions.
Let me remind you (and especially levent) that Turkey has under illegal military occupation EU territory (North CY) it denies to recognize CY, it does not allow CY ships and aircraft to even use Tr. Space and ports and demands that CY does not exploit its natural resources. It also threatens Greece with war if Greece extends its territorial waters to 12 miles as it has the right to do under Int. Law. And it violates Greek (EU) airspace every day with war planes, causing mock dog fights etc.
What a nerve!

Whats up? Can't the million man army deal with a few peasant ragheads :) :)

And there are those that think Turkey could take on Israel, this has to be the joke of the centuary, my sides are splitting :) :)

Let us wait for Cy to take on the EU presidency and see if our bully boy neighbours recognise us or not. if the EU will not assist one of it's memebers (ie Cyprus) against agression (ie Turkey) why the F do they expect their help with the PKK god bless them.

Funny old world a??

Does Turkey need help with the PKK because they cannot deal with it themselves or because they are a regional power?

they are dealing with this problem the wrong way anyhow.

I do not know how that silly Istanbully keeps spouting all that regional power nonsence. I just watched a graphic video of Turkish troops being ambushed by the rebels and what proceeded to be more troops coming to assist but getting pinned down themselves. This so called revenge will probably only lead to a limited incursion but with many airstrikes. The PKK seemed to have knew that an incursion was going to take place and prepaired for it.

Here is the link to that video which was uploaded a couple of hours ago but it was just removed by Youtube because of term violation:

Instead of meeting Turkey head on the PKK should hit that country where it will really hurt - in its pocket. A few non lethal devices exploding in tourist areas would have serious consequences for an already crumbling economy.

Hello Kurdistan!

Turks are now sending in 22 battalions to Northern Iraq:

PKK “welcomes” Turkey's Iraq incursion
October 20, 2011

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) said on Thursday it would "welcome" Turkish forces who launched a ground incursion into north Iraq, where the rebels maintain bases.

"If they want to come, let them come," Dozdar Hammo, a PKK spokesperson, told AFP. "We will welcome them here."

Hammo said no Turkish troops had yet crossed the border into north Iraq, but said Ankara's jets were hovering overhead.

Earlier, Hammo said Turkish jets had bombed the Haftani area, north of Dohuk city in Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region.

Another PKK spokesperson, Ahmed Denis, said the rebel group had engaged in clashes with Turkish forces within Turkey on Thursday.

The Turkish army said Thursday it had sent hundreds of troops into northern Iraq to attack Kurdish rebels in response to Wednesday's ambushes that killed 24 soldiers.

"A large-scale land operation has begun in five separate spots in northern Iraq with 22 battalions with air support," the general staff said in a written statement on its website.

Footage of kurdish freedom fighter operations against T**kish terrorist insurgents infiltrating Kurdistan.
Might be disturbing to some.

That's cos its age restricted.
Old footage though, but accurate shooting. Those German made tanks didn't stand a chance.
