There was a roundabout in Sunderland which had a fountain on it. the main feature was supposedly shaped like daisy head but was more like bog-brush and far too mucf the water wnt on the road and cars.
The borough council twice sent out a squad of workers at night to shorten the stem BUT THEY DENIED ANY WORK HAD BEERN DONE!

ya right, the lights were on at night for about a week !!! they realize how expansive electricity is and decided to turn off the frikin lights leaving the fountain to be just few taps of water !!!!
the last couple of days i been to the round about at night and it doesnt look any thing near special....!

There is quite a spectacular fountain in Batumi, Georgia. Apart from the usual cloured lights and music they generate a thin film of water and project images on to it.
