There is 'State' sponsored price differentiation; each year the CTO (Cyprus Tourist Organisation) publishes a list of hotels offering special prices for locals. Until last year this meant Cyprots only but now it applies to all residents, albeit it is published only in Greek.

I used it for an Aya Napa/Protoras trip.

Into the kiosk.....bottle pepsi.....everywhere priced at C£1.35 or C£1.45......not priced.....C£1.65...I gave it back and walked out. Went to next Kiosk....400metres away.....C£1.35...
