Turkey’s Chief EU negotiator dubs Sarkozy a “Pinocchio”

Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator called French President Nicolas Sarkozy a “Pinocchio”.

“In the fairy tale, Pinocchio’s nose would grow when he told lies. I know someone in France whose heels will be growing higher in the same manner,” Egemen Bagis said, following French National Assembly’s adoption of a bill penalizing Armenian Genocide denial.

On December 22, French National Assembly passed the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial. The draft law envisages a year in jail and a fine of 45,000 euros for those who publicly deny the Armenian Genocide in France.

“We are today in Switzerland and I am saying the 1915 incidents were not a genocide. Let them come and arrest me,” Bağış stated.

Erm... does the Clown think Switzerland is a part of France???

(claims that) ...."the mass killings of Armenians in 1915 in Anatolia constitute a genocide is null and void for Turkey, “we believe there are more sane people in France than insane ones.”

The Nutty Professor Davutoglu is trying desperately to out-clown Bagis the Clown with this statement calling for EU sanctions on France!!! ...

"If any candidate country to the EU had implemented such a law, the union would have raised the issue, included it in its progress reports and made its removal a precondition of entry, Davutoğlu said, adding that Turkey expected the EU to impose sanctions on France."
