"If Mrs Merkel is looking for domestic political material for her elections, that material should not be Turkey," Turkey's EU minister Egemen Bagis told reporters on Thursday.

Well, in all likelihood it looks like Germany will use its vote to suspend the accession talks this coming week.

That of course will bring the usual over the top reaction from Erdogan and Bagis.
