Well, if they can't agree ... there's a simple arbitration process... covered in Annex VII Arbitration under UN Convention on the Law of the Sea

That would be nice... but Lebanon are prob anxious to resolve the little prob asap so they can get on with exploration.

Yes... deffo... soon the Lebanon will be joining Egypt, CY, and Israel, whilst further west Greece is now said it will put out to tender licences to explore in the Ionian and in the waters south of Crete... and even Italy and Malta are to explore (when they can settle an EEZ dispute)... so as Pyro says everyone bar Sour Grapes Ain't Got Any Oil/Gas off its Southern Coast Turkey is legit exploring in the Med.

(oh... but Turkey has got the Pride of the Med... the Sardine Trawler Piri Reis)
