I am; I was beginning to enjoy and marvel at your creativity. I hope for the hour when your fury is spent.

what fury?

I am just honest. The truth is out there, you are just too blind to see it.

Do you want a glass of Rum, Rum?

Thanks for the offer but I'll leave the Kool Aid well alone.

Who knows, you might be right - but let me ask you this - have you ever been wrong?

haven't we all? Been wrong I mean.

But at the moment, it doesn't look like I'm wrong and you know it. You are just blinded by your Greek nationalism that's all.

But if you love Greece so much, then one day you too will be screaming "enough is enough"! You should be doing it right now.

If your thesis is that Greece is (and by implication, the Greek people are) a "scum of the earth nation" (or whatever you recently wrote), then I certainly don't know that you're right - in fact, you're dead-set wrong.

Gratuitous abuse is not how I would - or have ever - rebuke a person or thing that is close to my heart; there are degrees of sorrow, shame, sympathy, and resignation to fate and circumstance, but never black-hearted abuse. And "blinding nationalism" has got nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Well you might be right, but any logic would certainly dictate that Greece deserves nothing else but contempt for they have become an irrelevant defeated nation. This has been all of their own doing, because Greeks are a corrupt society from the grass roots and up.

they are a liability to Cyprus, and Greeks have been even been a liability to the Hellenic Republic.

I have a special interest in logic...:-D If only such things were a simple matter of logic - if they were one of us would hand the other a page full of symbols and end the argument without the possibility of refutation.

So the troubles faced by Greece have nothing to do with invasions, occupations, genocides, the burden of centuries of subjugation, engineered famines, ethnic cleansing, belligerence & aggression by all of her neighbours, and foreign imperialism and manipulation over the last few generations? They were gifted a utopia and spoiled it?

I won't change your mind, nor you mine. Is there anything we agree on?

Certainly not.

if such be the case, then israel would also be a dead beat nation just like greece.

look, you can come up with any excuse, and according to many greeks it is always someone else's fault. But it is about time they took a good long hard look at themselves.

see how civilised this can be? I may be a Pirate, but I am also a chivalrous gentleman.

I don't know about civility and chivalry - your recent abuse is still quite fresh in my memory.

Was your "certainly not" in response to my first or second question mark, or both?

I'm also not dignifying your comparison of Greece and Israel with any further response.

It was in response to you making excuses for Greece. The best thing that can happen to a small nation is for it to fall under occupation. The Russians had to sacrifice 20 million in WW2, the Americans were all over the world. Many smaller nations were also fighting all over the world but tend to be overlooked, yet their sacrifice goes over and beyond their weight or size. The money and sacrifice for these nations can not be measured. but none are dead beats.

as for israelis, they have gone through some really hard knocks, far worse than anyone. It is amazing they even survived.

You mean a small nation like Cyprus?

Is your problem with the Greeks that they've not allowed the Turks and the Brits to occupy enough of Cyprus?

No!

You know what I mean.

No, my problem with Greece is the fact that they are a lost cause and a liability. Hang with a turkey, you become one, hang with Eagles, then you will soar.

If Greece doesn't allow Turkey to occupy more of cyprus ( ), then perhaps it should stop Turkey from controlling its Sovereign territorial waters, EEZ, and hence its natural resources and wealth. It is this this that will help Cyprus.

Stop sulking because Cyprus will soon save your sorry and unworthy arses... but there's gonna be a lot of anal for old time's sake.
