You see, the Liberal Democrats and their kind believe that Islam is justified in its assault on the West because of the West's colonial past. Would you mind clarifying what you mean exactly; "legally defensible" but "politically inflammatory"?

Your statement has the potential to be politically inflammatory and you should "not be surprised" at the reaction of people who care for Cyprus.

Do I need to remind you that Britain is legally committed to defending the island's territorial integrity? Britain failed to do so in 1974. How do you justify perpetuating this legally indefensible position?
