Netanyahu terms Erdogan comments 'outrageous, false'
By HERB KEINON
09/26/2011 18:50

After weeks of rhetorical restraint in the face of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s constant Israel bashing, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded directly for the first time Monday, telling The Jerusalem Post that Erdogan’s claim that Israel had killed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and was using the Holocaust to perpetuate its own victimhood were both “outrageous” and “false.”

“These are outrageous charges against Israel that have nothing to do with the facts,” Netanyahu told the Post in a Rosh Hashana interview that will be published in full on Wednesday.

Turkish Paper Lists Israelis It Says Were in Flotilla Raid
By SEBNEM ARSU
Published: September 26, 2011

ISTANBUL — A Turkish newspaper published the names and photographs on Monday of more than 140 Israeli soldiers who the paper said took part in the raid on a Turkish flotilla to Gaza last year that ended with the death of nine passengers and created a diplomatic standoff between Turkey and Israel.

The accuracy of the list is questionable. Some names are said to be those of soldiers who served in the Cast Lead war.

With Gaddafi hiding and no longer in power, Erdogan seems well on his way to succeed him as Mad Dog of the Middle East. His ranting about Israel allegedly killing thousands of Palestinians is not only baseless, but rather amusing, considering all the Kurdish blood on his own hands.

The tanked relationship is a greater loss to Turkey than to Israel.

Turkey Calls For Sanctions Against Israel
(Wednesday, September 28th, 2011)

Unable to get the apology he so badly seeks from Israel, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues efforts to isolate Israel in the international community. In his latest move, Erdogan is calling for UN sanctions against Israel, insisting such a move would significantly boost peace-making efforts between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority).

So, does that then mean, that if there were UN sanctions placed on Turkey, it would significantly boost peace efforts between the TCs and the GCs in Cyprus.??

It's worth a try, I think! :D

Erdogan: Israel is a nuclear threat in the Mideast

10/04/2011 15:19

Turkish prime minster tells 'Time' NATO radar in Turkey is not directly in response to nuclear threat from Iran.
Talkbacks (30)

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that while the West may presume that Israel and its surrounding nations would be under threat from a nuclear-armed Iran, it is Israel that possesses nuclear weapons.

In a Time magazine article published on Tuesday, Erdogan dismissed claims that the agreement to install NATO radar in Turkey was a response to the nuclear threat posed by Iran.
