You are sort of right. Vasilis Tsitsanis wrote the song sometime in the 1940s during the war. The story goes that he was walking one day in his part of town on a Sunday, when he stumbled across the dead body of a girl from his neighbourhood. She had been executed by the Nazis. He wrote the song about this event. "Cloudy Sunday"

AEKTZIS wrote:This is music with DEEP MEANING, the themes are love, pain, rejection, joy, RAW emotions nothing else. A typical GREEK music.

 What deep meaning?

You mean extreme self pity and stupid negative exaggerations like…

“Douse my body in spirits so that I may be immolated!”

(Rixe spirto sto kormi mou na birbolitho!)

What stupid lyrics!

Get Real, I don't know what you've been listening to but I would steer clear of such songs. Not the expression of a true rembete who would never stoop to self-pity. :)
