Looking for work in Cyprus

Postby benmidd » Tue Sep 13, 2011 3:02 pm

Hi all,

First time posting so be gentle with me! Mods feel free to move this post if it is in the wrong section.

Anyway, I was born in Cyprus and really want to return to the island permanently. I have family in the North so relocating would not be a problem.

Are there any recruitment sites online that display current jobs that are available? Failing that, I am coming over to the North for 10 days very soon so I could hand my CV to businesses on both sides of the island and see if I get any feedback - is this advisable?

Any other advice would be much appreciated - the best places to look for work etc?

I am a qualified journalist and have been working as a reporter/social media editor for the past four years since leaving university.

I'm not necessarily looking for work as a journalist/reporter and I would be more than happy to do office work etc?

My girlfriend is a graphic designer, also with four years experience in the industry, and she would be looking for work as well - again, not necessarily in the design industry.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

You may well find the North is severely over-run with Anatolian settlers (Turkish Citizens), etc, all competing for jobs with the true Kibrilsi.

Do you realise the 'North' is not a real country? :?
