Secondly real Kibrislis cross every day I bet most of them have visited the tekke tens of times.

Hermes to the credit of Talat he repeated the same thing (i.e that the Kibrislis are in the process of disappearing) when he was on power.

You are correct on both points, Pyro, no matter how contradictory your points may appear to be to each other.

I personally love visiting ALL places of worship of any denomination and show a lot of respect to them too, but remain a non believer (heathen) all the same. :D

Anyway, my calculations were not a scientific one in nature, but rather it was more or less done with "tongue and cheek"! 8)

LOL it took me a while to spot the contradiction Kiks, even after you mentioned it. Alzheimer is coming to me I think
On the other hand all indications are that the settlers are a majority today propably on a 53-47% ratio to the real Kibrislis.

As for religion I am also an infidel as can be verified from here

You still have a ways to go before Alzheimer's sets in, my friend. :D

It's not surprising that we are both a non believer and an infidel, Pyro. We did after all gone to schools for a brief moment in 1963 that were right next to each other !

If the "trnc" is claiming to have 250,000 "citizens", that just alone would make the TCs a minority at almost 30% vs 70% against the settlers majority. That's not even counting all the other Illegal Aliens in the north, assuming we can trust the figures the "trnc" are giving us, which I personally cannot trust.

Are you sure?

Am I sure about what?

I used the figures from an incident regarding those who were refused entry into the RoC and those who were not. It just so happened, that there were 94.25% more settlers amongst those who tried to cross than there were TCs at 5.75%. My interpretation of the numbers to mean the overall percentages between the TCs and the settlers in the north was meant to be a light hearted humour and fun, which seems to have missed the point and had gone over every one's head instead!

 Sorry, I thought you'd pick up on your error. tongue and cheek? You sure? Maybe tongue in cheek? Not such a big deal, just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Oh Jesus! We got ourselves a perfectionist here on the forum.

No wonder you and your wife got into problems at Larnaca airport last year with the Immigration officer. You probably corrected him over something very silly thing.

Don't worry, you are safer correcting my silly mistakes.

Oh yes same schools, Kiks.

Kiks according to the "official" census of 2006 those with citizenship were 178,031, whereas all the population was 256,644. So i would agree with you that if you count the people in the occupied only 1 out of 3 is a real Kibrisli !!

Well Kik's let that be a lesson that you cannot joke about Cypriots LOL ..... good going but my concern is that cyprus will loose part of its culture if the TC side does not oust their current leader for a more pro Cypriot leader who can lead them to unification with the rest of the European community.

Zaman columnist Amanda Paul writes to confirm the disappearing act performed by Turkey. Interesting and revealing comments from readers, I see Antifon is giving them "hell".

“Meanwhile, Turkish Cypriots are moving towards extinction on the island, being outnumbered by tens of thousands of Turkish settlers. Many Turkish Cypriots expressed deep concern over this trend, which shows no sign of stopping. While many Turks have come to work and will return, I nevertheless felt that I was, more than ever before, in a Turkish province during my time in the north. Indeed my son innocently asked the manager of a café overlooking Kyrenia harbor why there were Turkish flags flying literally everywhere. He answered by saying, “Because this is part of Turkey.”
