Reactions to the European Arrest Warrants against usurpers of occupied Greek Cypriot properties continue in the Turkish Cypriot press

Under the title "A legal war is going on", Turkish Cypriot Volkan (19.08.11) reports that Emine Colak, chairperson of the so-called Turkish Cypriot Foundation for Human Rights, has commented on the European Warrants of Arrest against the usurpers of occupied Greek Cypriot properties.

In statements to Volkan, Colak said that these issues should be seriously taken into consideration and the Turkish side should work coordinately. She argued that a "legal war", a "propaganda war" is going on and added that this situation will continue, if no solution is reached. She noted that the Turkish side should work on a strategy against all these and use the help of experts before some "bad developments" happen.

Briton jailed over Cyprus villa sales

A BRITON has been jailed for ten months for illegally selling Greek Cypriot property in Cyprus's breakaway Turkish north.
Police said Gary John Robb, 48, from South Shields, Tyne and Wear, was convicted on charges that he helped sell dozens of luxury villas built illegally on Greek Cypriot land in the north.

It is the first such case adjudicated by a Cypriot court.

There are lots of sad carpet b*ggers who Gary Robbed in the north who seemed to hope this case would somehow get them their money back - I won't even waste an onion on them. Many clearly haven't a clue. I suspect however that one or two might now realise that they may also be at risk.
