Very brave man ..... may be I should immigrate back to Cyprus and become a pro unification activist. Imagine meeting such admirable people and hanging around them. That's the shift to consciousness in 2012.

I actually have exchanged a few emails with Murat Kanatli in the past. Never met him though, he seemed a busy man, from what i remember he was a journalist.
The point is why are we doing any army service here? Who are we going to kill in case of war? I wouldn't like to kill a kibrisli and I beleive most kibrislis wouldn't like to kill any Kypreos. Are we doing Army service just to be ready in case we are attacked? If so then is there any chance for the Kypreoi to ever attack the Turks and in extension Turkey itself

Armies are needed for many reasons not just war.

But we should still have an effective fighting force as we don't just want anyone getting the idea they can just walk in un contested, like the turks did in '74.

I think we are not spending enough on the army or the hardware, we need new ways to finance a better defence force.

Turks, TCs, arabs, british, russian any MF, if he wants to come in let us at least bust his nose a???

Maybe the TCs would rather do jail, because they would like their arses rammed

We are talking for a specific very respectable Kibrisli activist here who opposes the occupation regime and whatever it stands for. Which in short is either the concreting of the results of the invasion or further attacking the kypreoi. I personally understand him completely, i respect his ideals and the fact the he rather go to jail -well for you that means nothing of course....
If you can't bear with him either, I wonder with whom you will ever bear. Are you willing to live peacefully with the Kibrislis after a solution or will you hate them for ever for just been "Turks"
