Ankara should practice what it preaches.....

Postby Kikapu » Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:21 am

I'm sure Israel is telling Ankara, "You go first, Pal and stop making fools of yourselves thinking that you are whiter than white  ".

I don't know how any Turkish officials can make the below statement with a straight face and expect be taken seroiusly at the same time.

I agree with what the minister is saying, only, he should be saying the same thing about Turkey's role in Cyprus first, before complaining about Israel's role with the Palestinians, otherwise, the minister just becomes a joke, that's all.

Ankara to Israel over settlement plan: Time to make choice for peace

14 August 2011, Sunday / TODAY’S ZAMAN, ANKARA

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has voiced “regret” over Israel’s recent approval of a plan to build 1,600 settler homes in East Jerusalem while condemning the move in a strongly worded statement.

The decision by the Israeli government shows that it has disregarded repeated calls and warnings by the international community, the ministry said in a written statement released late on Friday.

“Israel, which aims at changing the human, cultural and religious texture of East Jerusalem via settlement activities that it has been conducting without interruption and via other activities that are against the international law, has been in fatal delusion because it is not possible for Israel to reach peace by means of seizing the land of the Palestinian people,” the ministry said. Initial approval for the 1,600 housing units in Ramat Shlomo, a religious Jewish settlement in an area of the West Bank annexed to Jerusalem by Israel, was given in March 2010. Israel’s Interior Minister Eli Yishai gave the final approval for the plan on Thursday. “The time has come for Israel to make a choice between sincerely wishing for peace and acting accordingly or never being able to reach peace, stability and harmony via challenging the international law and community. Turkey will always continue protecting the rights of its Palestinian brothers vis-à-vis efforts aimed at changing the property structure of the lands under occupation,”the ministry concluded.

Just replace 'Israel' with 'Turkey' and 'palastinians' with 'GCs' and you have a mirror image.

Turkey just takes the piss everytime, they have to win the jokers award of the centuary.

Funny though, I still think it belongs in the joke section, perhaps Admin could move it, seems more appropriate there.

At least Erdogan wasn't hurt too much, if any, thank God. :D

Oh dear, dear. It makes Erdogan look like a wimp rather than the tough guy he likes to portray himself as. I'm sure it bruised his ego big time .

This horse did more than ALL the Generals in Turkey who are in jail now for wanting to overthrow Erdogan.

The horse will now be sent to jail with ALL the other convicted Generals, except the horse will get death by hanging for actually succeeding in overthrowing Erdogan.

By the way, has Erdogan demanded an apology from the horse yet for throwing him on his backside ?

More importantly, has the horse apologised for throwing Erdogan on his backside ?

It reminds me of an old joke, as to how many men it takes to chance a light bulb.
(The answer is 5 men- One to hold the light bulb and the other 4 to turn him.. )

That joke has now been upgraded as to how many men it takes for Erdogan to mount a horse.
(The answer is 8 men- One to hold the horse, and the other 7 to get Erdogan on it. )

Had Erdogan managed to stay another 7 seconds on the bucking horse, he would have been know as "Bronco Erdogan" from now on in "Rodeo World".

I must end now, since I have reached my maximum 10 smiles.......... Hehehehe !

At first it seems strange that Turks fail to see the parallel between Israel's illegal settlement of Palestinian land and Turkey's illegal settlement of Cyprus.

But from Turkey's perspective it's okay for Turkey to occupy infidel land in Cyprus. But when it comes to the occupation of Palestinian land by infidels then Turkey will stand up for their Islamic "brothers". Isn't that what underlies Turkish hypocrisy?

For an Islamic bigot like Erdogan the occupation of Cyprus is a religious colonization of the north by Islam. No wonder mosques are going up all over the north...
