Long time now and considering the endless negotiations betwen (pesonally believe -the Ocupator and the looser of the war) I am wondering what actually can happen in case G/cs withdrawn from negotiation table and ask -or better demand- that UN must apply their main resolutions for CB since 1974 and particularly the withdrawal of the invasion army as well as to "demand" that EU regulations are the only regulations/provisions about the state's affairs which can be accepted as a solution for the present or even a new state.

What will be the result afterwards? Is Turkey to invate the South side? Can EU deny its own regulations to apply to a member of EU. Is UN able to overcome the basic fact that "North" can not be recognized as official state as same is a result of the force of arms?

Actually , so many years, i can not understand what G/cs are looking out of an "agreement" with the invasion army? Are T/cs so important to be considered as citizens of ROC , at the time they are working and pay taxes to an other -even not official-state?

Generally the situation in Cyprus for these 37 years looks like a joke. Its looks like a fox is asking from a lion to share the meat in the ground.

Interesting questions Epsilon.
But unfortunately this forum is not a "think tank" panel as it should be imo.

The RoC should have done that as soon as Turkey refused to abide with the first UN resolutions.
I mean what is there to discuss with an invader and their puppet administration?
But hold on for a minute Turkey was NEVER called an invader by the UN!!!The invasion was always called as intervention!! And by the eyes of the UN a legal one at least in the way it started!! The puppet administration still had a leader of the TC community and that's all it mattered to them!!
The refugees were never called refugees, they were called displaced persons!!! Because according to UN definitions to be a refugee you must be displaced from your country to another country!!
And for the UN to authorize military action against TUrkey that should go to the security council, and get a pass, and most importantly have a superpower like the USA execute it, like it happened when Iraq invaded Kuwait.

Under all this nonsense and inaction, our side had no other choice than try the negotiating table. And here we are...
After messing everything up, after submitting to each and every paranoid demand of Dektash during the years we finally came to the Anan Plan that again our great Tpap when on to negotiate without even having read it. Such "great" Presidents we had! After we almost got burned and the pseudo started having real hopes for recognition here we are to today.

At this stage my friend we CANNOT do what you suggest. Because the dead Anan Plan is actually a living vampire.

As for the EU it's not a matter of demanding.Ourselves can put an end to Turkeys EU road.

The forum is not a think tank but -some how-followed by people who -may be- will be asked to sign or express the opinion at a possible solution agreement.
The point however is not what EU/UN or NATO did or can do. The point is that all these years G/cs took it "as given" that the only way is to negotiate with the invasion army.We all agree that in negotiation table we hv two parties, the ROC and the Invasion army-nobody else is on the table. If we translate this situation in real facts, we can easily conclude that G/cs are just trying to not sign a surrender agreement. As from the UN resolutions -we must take into acount that Cyprus is a European state and this -at least-make it complecated for UN or other international bodies to overlook some basic international law provisions- At least lets try something different.Propably not now but in 2-3 years ,when the geopolical situation in our area seems to be changed .

Either way this is going to happen in the end just like you said. It is obvious that the negotiations are a waste of time.
But I don't agree that those negotiations are just on terms to surrender. Absolutely not.
The invader has not succeeded in what they wanted. They thought it was the 16th century when they could invade and after the dust clears out they would easily have a new protectorate state or just expand Turkeys borders. They absolutely FAILED and they are looking for ways to get out of this failure at minimal cost. The problem with the negotiations is that they are totally unable to understand what is the maximum they can get out of this. A true Federation i.e. It's the Turkish mentality of wanting to see with their own eyes before they decide.

My friend, allow me to say that actually there is not a CB. We just facing a clasical military invation/win of Turkish army and the..looser of the war (G/cs) deny to sign the war result. The main point of what we are calling today CB is that - if the looser of the war deny to sign and accept that he loosed the fight he must continue it. In our case we do not sign but instead of continue the fight (due to lack of military power) we are crying like babies to others to save us.Was Makarios a traitor signing the agreement with Denktash? Was Clerides a traitor signing further "stupid agreements with Denktash?" Is Chistofias a traitor, accepting what he accepted? Not of course. They are not traitors -they are just trying (were trying) to do the impossible -to present a surrender agreement as a fair agreement. Unfortunatetly for them the citizens of ROC have been educated in the meantime-they can understand even the small letters in an agreement. Conclusion: CB is an internal problem of G/cs. Turks know very well what we are speaking about- We are just creating and saying stories for our grandmothers!!!

Unfortunately, Sampson and Co has gifted the north to Turkey already! How will you get this 'present' back? 8)
