MEP Support for Cyprus

Postby supporttheunderdog » Sat Aug 06, 2011 8:20 pm

Nick Griffin MEP has signed a European Parliament Written Declaration on the work of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP).

The CMP was established to examine cases of persons reported missing from violence stretching back to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, wherein a total of 1493 Greek Cypriots and 502 Turkish Cypriots were officially reported as missing.

"I was delighted to sign this declaration," Mr Griffin told his website,

Another British MEP has also kept Cyprus' profile up.

In a speech to the European Parliament, Andrew Brons MEP also spoke damningly of Turkey’s ongoing occupation of Cyprus.

"Turkey still occupies the northern third of Cyprus with force of arms," he said during a “Catch the Eye” speech in Strasbourg. "They are expropriating the property of Greek Cypriots, desecrating and plundering their places of worship and burial.

"Until Turkey withdraws its troops unconditionally, returns property and repairs damage, there should be no relations at all with Turkey – let alone negotiation for its EU membership."

Personally I find much of what those Pseudo Nazis , the BNP, stand for to be grossly offensive, but on this they are right.

Bill, I agree with you 100% that those vaginas probably could not give toss about Cyprus, the Cypriots or the Cyprus Problem but have their own racists anti-Islam /Anti Turkish agenda. They are certainly indiuous by coming up with a number of policies which on the face of it are reasonable but that will not buy them my vote.

They have however helped keep the issue alive, and we need all the good publicity we can get.
