I don't think most franchisees are so poor. Is the licence they receive one off payment and not a recurring fee?

I am sure the contract between franchisee and franchiser includes terms about how many other licenses the franchiser can give in the same area. Cypriots that take on such franchises should learn to include terms that would protect them from such cases.

I am sure the contract between franchisee and franchiser includes terms about how many other licenses the franchiser can give in the same area. I'm sure the franchise agreement in RoC only applies in RoC, not what might happen elsewhere, i.e. TRNC.
Cypriots that take on such franchises should learn to include terms that would protect them from such cases. Lessons in fortune telling are part of the franchise agreement then?

Agreed - it would however be useful to see what the areas are for the Franchises issued in the Unnoccupied legal ROC, because there is pretty good argumenmt that if they purport to cover only the ROC qone can argue it xcovers the entire Island of which the ROC is the legal ruler, where the rule is only inhibbited by the illegal occupation by Turkey and its Army.

Leaving aside the individual franchisees, Gloria Jean's Coffee are themselves promoting the Separatist Regime cos on the main GJ web-site there are separate refs to Cyprus and to "Northern Cyprus". Someone at GJ HQ has messed up big time on this.

... but also believe we must, as ever, also consider whose land the stores are built on, believe, for instance, given the "74 demographics in Kyrenia, that there is a very, very good chance the Kyrenia branch may be built on Stolen land.
