How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If G/cs had the military power then they could tell us and..show us, how exactly the feel each time they enter the occupied area.

Their "own"! The environment which is covered from end to end with Orthodox churches, Hellenistic monuments, GC graveyards. Hardly their "own".

I have not crossed and will not cross to the north. It happens to be the place where I grew up, in Famagusta, and I traveled extensively throughout the district as my father back then was an inspector of education and we had many friends over the whole district. My memories of that time are too precious to risk them in a visit to what has become a den of thieves and colonists.

But as a family we do have friends in the north who visit us in the south and I see them when I visit. They do not like it much either and they too cherish their memoried of their true "own" environment.

If you are saying that Nikitas is telling porkies, then my statement stands to be true, because you did not understand the what you pointed out in Nikitas's post, other than saying "porkies"..

Nowhere did Nikitas said that he went to the north since '74, but you read it that he has. Show us where he said that.

Can I suggest that all cypriots whether greek or turkish read; Two equal and sovereign peoples. by Ahmet C Gaziooglu and Bitter Lemons by Durrell.? They really explain who owns what and when in cyprus!!
I would finish by suggesting that you all visit the British Cemetey in North Cyprus where a school friend of my husband is commemorated . He was 19yrs. old, a national service man, who was killed by an EOKA terrorist in the 1950's.He was neither Greek or Turkish.!

I would of thought that the loss of a soldier of the occupying colonial forces, would loose its relevance when taking into account the death, rape and displacement of thousands of Cypriots civilians from both communities. Not Greek or Turkish… Cypriots in their country.
I’m always up for a good read, however a bit of research pretty much sums up how Britain is hugely responsible for the events that led to the situation still lived in Cyprus.
