How do GCs feel when they visit the TRNC?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

People were decent and friendly enough, but over-whelming imppression was of an Army Camp, TA everywhere with long convoys of military vehicles on the roads ... and loads of statues of Ataducky, one n every corner and a TA camp in-between.

What's the matter? You asked a question and people gave you their honest opinion. Now you feel you have to respond to every post because you didn't like what people said. Fact is most G/Cs think the "TRNC" is an arid depopulated shit-hole military camp. You think it's Paradise. Get over it.

This topic and the smug way in which it's been defended reminds me of stories I've read and documentaries I've seen on how collaborators lauded over their peers in occupied countries in WWII. They, men and women, prostituted themselves to the Germans and gained luxuries and even every day goods from the occupiers, but they were despised by their fellow countrymen because of their cowardice and being turncoats. They would grass their neighbours up for a bar of chocolate and a pair of fishnet stockings.

You, Viewpoint, are a cowardly prostitute who has sold himself out for a bar of choclate and some stockings. I hope they look good on you!!

Have you noticed how VP tried to direct our answers "Hermes"? How do you feel being a minority imish. As if what matters for our feelings in visiting the occupied has anything to do with that.

Btw every Summer VP invents the same fantasy story and asks the same question

I'm not sure why VP thinks that G/Cs feel anything other than sadness and anger when they visit the north. This has nothing to do with feeling like a "minority" in the north and everything to do with their land being under foreign occupation. Poor VP projects his own paranoid delusions onto us and believes we think the same way as him.

The only people who are complaining they feel like a minority in the north happen to be the Turkish Cypriots who have been protesting against Ankara's policies which threaten their very existence. The question VP should be asking is "why is it that T/Cs feel like a minority in the north?"

Far better than what we had with GCs, a concentration camp with no chance of survival.

Dont try and turn the tables, we embrace our whole population, its just you people we do not trust nor can we live with, so for a few hours you feel what we feel when you visit the TRNC and become the minority in your own country.
