How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Listen, it was an order from the Turkish Army actually (It was not me who mentioned Denktash) however the Denktash administration undertook the execution by sending messengers to those who refused to abide. until TODAY there are people who refused to move and a warrant is waiting for them at the occupied.

As for the rest of your questions here are some FACTS which may not be 100% accurate but will help you figure out my original point, that as a rule of thumb those who live in luxury in the occupied are the Denktashes people, who (together with their master) have looted the properties of the Kypreoi.

a)The number of the REAL kibrislis left in the occupied is about 80-90,000
b)Out of those about 1/3, 27,000 i.e are public servants. They are paid well but in general are not living in luxury .
c)6,000 were crossing every day for work in the RoC because they were unemployed. Together with their families they account for another 20-24,000 .Also them not living in luxury.
d)Add at least another 3,000 unemployed who together with their families may account for another 12,000

Calculate everything and figure out what's left and who are really doing ANY work in the occupied and how come a number of them are living in luxury which is not in line with their incomes/or their jobs.

Here my friend (and especially in the occupied) IS NOT ENGLAND where by working hard you can make it. Those who make it that way are a miniscule percentage...

Like I told you my Kibrisli friend (in fact the one who told me this rule of thumb) is a LAWYER, like your girlfriend.I know very well how he stands economically.

Pyro,

If you remember, in 2007, VP was boasting that the so called GCs embargoes were not working, because BMWs and Flat Screen TVs were selling like hot cakes and that BMW had recorded their highest percentage sale in the "trnc" than anywhere else that they sell BMWs in the Middle East. This may have been around the time when there was a lot of construction going on in the north, which means a lot of stolen GC land was used and monies exchanged hands, from the foreigners to the TCs/settlers. That would explain where the money came from to have a spike in sales of BMWs in a relatively short time. There isn't much else in the north that would bring a lot of money in a short time, not unless one run a whorehouse with a lot of 18 year olds doing the serving, or run a Casino. But of course, these lucrative business are all run by the Turks from Turkey. They use the TCs to chance the bed sheets at the whorehouses and wash the customers cars while the customers are too busy losing their money in the casino. Most TCs on the private sector can barely make it from what ever jobs they may have. Of course most of the "disposable income" came from selling/buying GCs stolen property. I don't know why DTA does not face the facts. Now that the construction industry in the north has come to an end to speak of, I wonder if BMWs are still selling like hot cakes. Any ideas, DTA?

I would like to know on what kinds of cases did DTA's girlfriend was working on in the north to be able to earn lots of money. Surely not for defending drunks and disorderly. Come to think of it, I did not think there was a "Rule of Law" in the north, since it would change like the weather. There were/are a lot of lawyers however who took part in representing buyers/sellers of stolen GC land in the north. Maybe that's what he meant, that she had worked hard for her money. As far as I know, any lawyer who is meant to be the "officer of the court", are meant to uphold the law and not take part in ANY illegal activities as not to damage the integrity of their profession. According to most of the Carpetbaggers on C44, most got ripped off by their own lawyers when buying land or property, that their lawyers were in collusion with the builders/sellers. They were basically on the take from the builders/sellers while "representing" their clients, the buyers. No wonder VP's daughter is/was studying to become a lawyer. I'm sure VP put her up to it, because there's a lot of opportunity to rip people off in the north, specially those foreigners willing to buy stolen GCs properties. What are they going to do when they find out they been ripped off by everyone, including their own lawyer ? Sue them in the north's courts ?

I said the TCs want to be free from Turkey's control, so yes, lets have a referendum of the TCs, if they wish to be controlled by Turkey or by the EU Principles, only the votes must be cast in the RoC, just so that the TC won't be intimidated by the fascists, the settlers and the Turkish Troops in the north. Let a multi national organization hold the referendum and the vote counting, but only to be done in the RoC and not in the north.

Turkey has not right to offer the TCs any guarantees and security at all unilaterally. Turkey was only suppose to provide those services those for ALL Cypriots and for Cyprus. She has failed to live up to her part of the agreement, so her services are no longer required, nor are they any longer necessary or even legal in the EU. She can be a good neighbour with good economic ties to the whole island, but that's about it.

Arent you contradicting yourself again???

Do you accept the results of the TCs referendum held by the UN? if they say they want the guarantees of Turkey will you accept it?

I am not contradicting myself at all. I stated that the TCs do not want to live under Turkey's control. I said nothing about Turkey's guarantees, you did. There will not be any more so called Turkey's guarantees, because the RoC does not want it and neither does the EU. Turkey can guarantee if they want, that any TC or GC who does not feel safe in Cyprus, they can go to Turkey and be given a job, a house, preferably after they kick out the owner and his family onto the street, and voting rights. I don't think Turkey will agree to give them 50% power however, but hey, what are you going to do. Turkey is just selfish for wanting to keep all the political power for herself.

Viewpoint...Turks are allowed in the south - how many sportsmen have been there? I'd say the only Turks not allowed are the army.

I thought TC's came to the south to work because they get paid a pittance in the north as there was no money up there.

To state that TC's feel like apprehensive foreigners is a bot of an over-statement. Perhaps it's how they present themselves when they cross over. If people come across as hating the people or mistrusting them, then they're going to be treated the same. On the other hand, if the TC's come down and embrace the culture and the people and the lif-style, there wouldn't be a prolem. How many TC's who have come down have been threatened or racially abused or even attacked? you probably don't have those figures because I doubt they are high enough. The only antagonists for GC's going north or TC's coming south are the Turk soldiers in the north. I doubt anyone else cares where anyone is from (unless it's a mainland Turk trying to come south). I know of stories of TC's, sat in pre-1974 cafes, who would talk in Turkish and then when a Turk walked in, they would speak Greek. I don't think there's any real animosity from GC's to TC's (though they would be totally vindicated if there was).

You are twisting and turning again, lets concentrate on one issue at a time and make it simple for you, the GCs and EU may not want Turkeys guarantees but the TCs and Turkey do, you cannot brush aside what we want there has to be a solid alternative or compromise acceptable to both sides. The compromise could be that Turkey guarantees the north state and not the whole island.

That's not a comprise, because the north state is the RoC and is the EU and neither will want anything to do with Turkey's so called guarantees. It will be like for the USA to agree that Mexico becomes the guarantor power for California only, just because 10 million Mexicans live in California. It's not on, so forget it and use some common sense, please.!

The only comprise I can think of, is for Turkey to take part as a NATO force in Cyprus for ALL Cypriots security. Other than that, you are just wasting every one's time.

Turks cannot travel across the border north to south they have to get a visa and travel in via one of your airports.

There is plenty of money "up here" but not enough jobs to go around so the TCs workers travel south and work for pittance mainly as laborers.

How can you know how a TC feels when they travel south, you are not a TC so therefore you can only guess, I am a TC and the south is like a foreign country where you have to be extra careful not to offend anyone as they all seem ready to explode if they find out you are a TCs, this makes us very uncomfortable and apprehensive.

Those that are abused do not even report it, the ones that do are not taken seriously by your police so you can never really comprehend the level of GC attacks on TCs.

Finally why do you think Gcs are vindicated if they attack TCs?

VP is certainly wasting everyone's time with talk of a Turkish "guarantee" over the north of the island. That is a complete non-starter. The only realistic compromise would be a UN council resolution guaranteeing Cyprus's security coupled with a statement of Cypriot neutrality. Any settlement could be enforced through an OSCE mission. Any remaining troops, say lighty-armed Greek or Turkish troops, could be incorporated into an OSCE mission in anticipation of their full withdrawal.

You didn't mention dentash but jumped on my post in reply to some one who did, and still have not been able to show me anything I have said that is not accurate.

As for finally explaining what the he'll you are talking about re BMW and mercedes that is very poor.

Your figures are far from accurate so don't warent any serious consideration- if you think there are only 90,000 tc in the trnc then - what can I say to that it's too far awayfro
Reality to even argue.

And as for saying you have a tc friend who is a lawyer and another one is dentist and they are not payed well, like that proves something?????? are all lawyers and dentist paid the same in the south then? How very marxist of you guys, I'm impressed.
