How do GCs feel when they visit the TRNC?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Just you t/cs. Citizens in the south have built a thriving economy founded on tourism, shipping, agriculture and finance. What is the north's "economy" founded on? Brothels, casinos and the illegal development of Greek-owned land. See the difference?

And Hermes once again shows his true face. Next time he writes about caring about tcs and that we are been overtaken by settlers from turkey - remember this what he thinks of us.

Why don't you tell us what you think of your OWN people DTA? Just to check where we disagree exactly...

.
That was to Hermes and not you but since you asked, I love my people, I know that despite everything they have been through since 63 all that they have lost in the south, some of them have come to prosper through hard work and ability despite the embargoes placed upon them by the gcs and with out looting gc properties as you put it.

Your general rule of thumb does not cut it either pyro, it is obvious that you have been given the wrong impression of us.

Rumours of the demise of the tcs have been grossly exaggerated

Can you finally understand that CB was not started in 1963? Can you understand that 1963 was a result of 1955-1960?Exempt if you was expecting the majority of the Island to seat and wait the co-operators of the British occupation regime to kill them.Secondly and most important-the most of T/cs moved from South to North (after July74) not because G/cs asked or pushed them to do so but for the simple reason that Denkatsh regime was threatening their lifes if they did not move to North.

Just like I suspected. A newbie with absolute minimal and one sided knowledge.

Anyway, since you talked about all those embargos that the Kypreoi have imposed on you, could you care explain us how and when did we impose them on you? May I remind you that at 1974 you got the Famagusta port which was the biggest in Cyprus and fully operational. You also got the Morfou area orchards. The No1 exports of Cypriots back then, were citrus fruits (mostly produced in Morfou) and potatoes.

May I also inform you that the Kypreoi in 1974 were at a state of chaos with almost half the population been homeless and jobless, living in the fields. You don’t know what that means of course, neither do I expect you to know. Nor will I get fascinated if out of politeness you express sympathy for that , neither will I fill up my bag of hopes that we will re-unite because "you are good people and you accept our sufferings and your mistakes".

But I do expect you to know about the "embargos" and answer my questions above.
Go on, I am full of ears.

Now read my post again and point out where I said it was all the gcs fault- you asked me what I thought about my people, and I answered that question, so what exactly is your problem with that?

Where have I said that it was all the gcs fault?
What have I said that is untrue?
Where have I said that gcs have not suffered as well?

I know for a fact there were tcs post 74 that were forced from their homes at gunpoint by gc/ Greek solders - so the whole dentash threatened to kill anyone that didnt move north is bullshit propaganda that you have obviously brought into.

As for it starting in the 50s - yeah well we didnt fancy joining Greece - we were not down with them - but we agreed to share the island with the gcs in 1960. And that lasted 3 years.

Hence my comment from 1963- you see it all makes sense if you take of the blinkers.

Look at your previous post. I quote for you

Code: Select all
despite the embargoes placed upon them by the gcs

Now will you answer my questions?

What do you mean post 1974? When exactly? In August, in September October,November December?
Do you at least know when exactly about half the Kibrisli population moved North? Man we are talking for 60-70000 people here, do you know or just just spout hearsay stories? And since you talk about threads at gunpoint there should have been some who refused and were killed. How many where they and WHEN??

What an incredibly casual, naive and insulting account of Turkish Cypriot involvement in Cyprus's troubles. How generous of you to "agree to share the island" with the 82 per cent majority. Shame it didn't work out. Have you thought to ask yourself why?

The Greek Cypriot aspiration for Enosis in the 1950s was a legitimate response to the British colonial occupation of Cyprus. It was not directed against Turkish Cypriots. Whereas the Turkish Cypriot campaign for partition in the 1960s was wholly targeted against the Greek Cypriot majority with support from Turkey.

The Turkish Cypriot minority were initially encouraged to turn on the Greeks by the British authorities in the 1950s as part of their "divide and rule" strategy. Are you denying that the Turkish Cypriots collaborated with the British in the 50s? Are you denying that Turkish Cypriots formed the TMT and started to kill innocent Greek Cypriot civilians thus starting the inter-communal conflict? Are you denying that Turkish Cypriots collaborated with the invading Turkish army in 1974 again killing innocent Greek Cypriots?

The Turkish Cypriots and their misguided leaders have much to answer for in Cyprus. Not least doing Turkey's dirty work on the island in direct opposition to the aspirations of the majority population.

One member of my family and a member of my girlfriends family told me that happened, im going to believe them before you. Also when I posed this question on the board before other tcs came forward and said that knew of others who experienced the same thing. But I guess none of that is good enough for you, so step up and prove it was dentash who threatened people and made them move north.
