How do GCs feel when they visit the TRNC?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

According to my Kibrisli friends those who have the Mercedeces and the BMWs are the Denktashes people who looted the Kypreos properties.
Question: Who among the Kibrislis drive the rotten 30 year old Renaults due to snow imported from Turkey as scrap :?:

What absolute bollocks, so working hard and buying a nice car is beyond us? we can only have gotten bmws and mercedes if we looted gc property? Does that apply to those that drive nice cars in the south or is that just us tc?

It seems so.

How else would you acquire them?

Just you t/cs. Citizens in the south have built a thriving economy founded on tourism, shipping, agriculture and finance. What is the north's "economy" founded on? Brothels, casinos and the illegal development of Greek-owned land. See the difference?

And Hermes once again shows his true face. Next time he writes about caring about tcs and that we are been overtaken by settlers from turkey - remember this what he thinks of us.

It is a shame Deniz brother, looks like there is a long road ahead for reunification if it ever is to happen.

The "trnc" is a morally and financially corrupt pirate-state built on ethnic cleansing and the exploitation of Greek-owned property. I have never concealed my contempt for it.

As for whether I "care" for T/Cs: if T/Cs choose to stand up for themselves and fight to preserve their culture, reject assimilation by Turkey, give up their objectionable partitionist ideology and strive for the unity of the island then they have my support. I see no evidence they are prepared to make the sacrifices necessary. The question then arises that if T/Cs don't care about saving themselves then why should anyone else?

The choice is assimilation and extinction of the T/Cs under Turkish military rule. Or living as a flourishing community in a federal united Cyprus under EU law. Those are the choices on offer. It's up to the T/Cs to choose. If they choose to do nothing, then why should anyone else care?

After a history of making the wrong choice at every possible opportunity I don't have much faith in T/Cs to prevent their inevitable slide into oblivion. Only a miracle can save them now. And I don't believe in miracles.

Communities can become extinct just like certain species of animals. There's no law which states that T/Cs must be around forever. As one T/C put it: "People remember the American Indians but who will remember the Turkish Cypriots?"

Ethnic cleansing has been gong on on this island since '63. Including to Turkish Cypriots post 74 as well (some at gun point)
So when you talk of ethnic cleansing bare this in mind as well.

Don't worry about maintaining our cultural identity we have been fighting to do that since the 50s. To paraphrase: reports of our demise have been grossly exaggerated.

I will ask the same question again as you seem to not want to answer, why is assimilation with GCs alright and not with Turks?
