Oh dear! An imminent economic crisis looms in Turkey. What's the betting Erdo puts up interest rates after the election.

Perhaps if Erdo and all his bent ministers put in all their bribed money they have stashed at home and elsewhere the economy could go in the surplus, but alas. The sheep of Turkey just follow their corrupt leaders irrespective.

At last some good news for Turkey, trade deficit only 13.5%,

Turkey's foreign trade deficit for the month of August reached $8.036 billion, a 13.5 percent year-on-year increase, according to figures released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) on Tuesday.

Oh and Turkey's gas prices are going up 9% whilst in Europe they have fallen 22% in last two years, no wonder they are sniffing around Cyprus. The increase is to do with the drought apparently.

You can point the foreign trade deficit mostly on the weakening of the Turkish Lira (again) against the dollar and other major currencies. Erdogan does not understand simple economics. He wants’ to push the interests rates down artificially when the inflation is high, so he thinks he can get growth, as a result, the Turkish Lira is getting hit and loses value, which then increases cost to buy foreign goods that the Turks depend on, and what Turkey sell to the world, they get less foreign currencies for them because of the weak TL. This then creates a vicious cycle of inflation rising even further while Erdogan want to bring down interests rates for political and self ego reasons even further also and it goes on and on and on aimlessly. There's no such thing as free lunch when it comes to economics, because there's always the bill to pay, except in Turkey, so thinks Erdogan!
