I know this is a sensitive issue - but wasn't Ataturk a homosexual and an alcoholic?

Not that I'm casting aspersions, but given that the AKP are transforming Turkey into an Islamic republic, where does a drunken woofter like Ataturk fit into their narrative?

Well maybe if modern Turkey's founder was acknowledged to be a homosexual then it might go someway towards undermining discriminatory laws against homosexuals in Turkey and the "TRNC".
