What do you think?

So you send the kids off to the cinema and invest around Euro's 60.00 for the evening of peace and quiet. (ten Euros each for the tickets...4 kids, and a hand full of Euros for pop corn cokes, etc.) Problem is that just when you're enjoying that peace and quiet you get a phone call from said kids informing you that the power was cut. My question is: "Should the cinema refund your money for the tickets?" What do you think? K-Cineplex thinks not.

They should provide them with tickets to go back and watch it when there is power.

You ought to be given credit for another time.

Even though not their fault, they should still cough up, its called good customer relations, something seriously lacking in Cyprus.

What these idiots don't understand, is that by bringing you back, you are likely to spend more more on popcorn, drinks and may even bring a paying friend, such small mindedness, really annoys me.

Plonkers!

I think you need to go back there, speak with a manager and tell them to give you another set of tickets as your kids did not get to watch the damn movie. Yes we know there will be power cut offs, but we do not know when. It's in their best interest to refund you or give you new movie tickets. Let us know the outcome

Sue the Government, in particulae the Ministry of Defence for the cost of the tickets amd loss of enjoyment on the grounds that with the continuing failure to meet many internationally recognised requirements for the safe storage of munitions and other explosives they were grossly negligant in the storage of the containers, and are tortiously liable for the consequences flowing from the reasonably forseable risk of explosion and damage to nearby property.

They are very stupid. They lost a good customer and certainly more than the Euro 40 I was asking for. They would have made it back the next time the kids wanted to go to the cinema. They will never make another penny off me and guess whose name is being dragged through the mud. I vaguely remember the same company changing their prices from CYP5.00 to ten Euros when Cyprus went with the Euro......do the math.

Cinemas are a rip off ... not only they cost too much but often they are full with noisy children send there by their parents so that they (the parents) can enjoy some peaceful time while their children annoy other people  I got a home cinema ... much better :D About your 40euro you can file a complaint here: http://parapona.katanalotis.org.cy/index.php?pageid=5
