it was the south proudly showing the streets signs......were they only for propaganda purposes ?????????????

Reports are saying it was painted by the ELAM organisation aftermidnight (19th july ) .....with the EOKA members........even local GC's are complaning about it .....

the difference is that in the North renaming was done with official sanction by the occupying authorities controlling psuedo state while in the South it was probably done by mud-brained morons but with no official sanction.

get over it - here in Lim the signs get painted a lot. All I can say is the Apoel and Apollon both appear to be in for a jolly rogering from what we get on ours -

I do condemn it - hence my description of the perps as mud-brained morons. it only serves to cement the divisions in place and that is not what anybody who wants a just and lasting solution, whereby all Cypriots can return to and feel safe in the properties theywere forced out of since the start of the troubles in 58 or 60 or so, should want..
