Hi Buddies
I am pretty new here at this Forum; joined just now. I am expected to be in Cyprus this September for my higher study. Recent catastrophe at the Naval Base is indeed shocking and I feel really sorry for those departed soul and also for those who have been injured.
I am wondering how the power system is running across the country, particularly in Limassol. My university campus is at Limassol. So, it would be highly appreciated if someone from Limassol (or who knows the situation there) please respond to my query with current scenario there including any practical assumption about how long it will take to get back the electricity status stable.

I have gone through your topic, and found that our problems are not similar. I just want to know the temporary electricity problems of Cyprus and wondering to know the current scenario and prospects (future).

In Limassol, there are power cut offs, 2hrs a day sometimes 4 hrs a day(not straight). It might last months, for sure all of this summer.

There are 2.5 hours power cuts each day, sometimes more. This is expected to be over when the summer season is over and the demand for electricity is less.
