Clinton says BBF solution must be very soon

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Clinton says BBF solution must be very soon

Postby halil » Sun Jul 17, 2011 1:11 pm

she wants to see an early solution to the Cyprus dispute. As she ended a two-day visit to Istanbul said she supported Turkish calls for a resolution of the long-running conflict by 2012, when Cyprus is due to take over the European Union presidency for the first time."We don’t think the status quo on Cyprus benefits anyone. It’s gone on for far too long. We believe both sides would benefit from a settlement. And we strongly support the renewed, re-energized effort that the United Nations is leading, and that the Cypriots themselves are responsible for, because ultimately they’re the ones who are going to have to make the hard decisions about how to resolve all of the outstanding issues," she said.
Clinton said the United States wants to see a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation on the island and “would like to see it as soon as possible.”

What did you expect her to say?

What matters is what she said to Erdogan behind closed doors. I have the exclusive:

How can Turkey deny its own minority their human rights then at the same time demand that the Turkish Cypriot minority in Cyprus have 30 percent of Cypriot land, a rotating presidency, a veto on the Cyprus government and their own state? Would you give the Kurds the same rights you demand for the Turkish Cypriots? Do not be hypocritical. Turkish Cypriots should have the same rights you are prepared to give the Kurds. No more. No less. How can you criticize the Kurds when you set them such an example in Cyprus? I'm sorry, but your stupid policies in Cyprus risks breaking Turkey apart and it is your own fault!

Halil, you always existed (well, since the 1600s) and you will continue to exist.
Just move your hands off my balls, will you?!

Speaking at a joint press conference in Constantinople with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu and replying to questions, Clinton said "we want to see a bizonal, bicommunal federation, and we would like to see it as soon as possible, we would like to see it by 2012."

"The United States very actively promoted the referendum that was presented to the population of Cyprus back in 2004. And we were disappointed by the outcome, because we thought that that would have resolved a lot of the issues that are still being very difficult to overcome. We don’t think the status quo on Cyprus benefits anyone. It’s gone on for far too long," she said.

She added that "we believe both sides would benefit from a settlement, and we strongly support the renewed, reenergised efforts that the United Nations is leading and that the Cypriots themselves are responsible for, because ultimately, they’re the ones who have to make the hard decisions about how to resolve all of the outstanding issues."

"We want to see a bizonal, bicommunal federation, and we would like to see it as soon as possible. We would like to see it by 2012. And that is something that the UN has said. That’s something I know Turkey believes. It’s something we believe. And we’re going to do everything we can to support this process and finally try to see a resolution," Clinton pointed out.

Davutoglu noted that, among other issues, they discussed "the Turkey-EU relations and also the latest point reached in the negotiations about Cyprus."

On Saturday, Clinton flew to Greece, where she will be meeting with the President of the Hellenic Republic, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance, and the leader of the opposition.

Halil, just make sure Turkey understands that you support that Kurds in Turkey must have all those rights (the status) that you are asking for in Cyprus.

Will you do this little thing for me?
Let me know how I can help & thank you in advance.

It is time that Clinton and the F Americans demanded the UN resolutions against Turkey be respected. And then F the hell off.

They have allowed the turks to get away with murder and other and then have the bloody cheek to insist for a solution by 2012 just as not to embarass the friggin turks again.

Its me, me , me, same attitude with the TCs here, they want whats not theirs or else.

Well the god damn americams can go to hell. 2012 2112, or whatever, we will agree when we will agree, when we have a just AND VIABLE solution, not some concockted BS that the US and UK want to impose on us. We have been there before, won the tee shirt and today we have the result of those actions.

When the US/UK stop meddling in the world, it would be a better, safer place. They should look within their own shit of a country and see the crap going on, drugs, gun crime, prositution, corruption and a whole host of other non socialable activities. Shish, and they have the audacity to preach. Clinton go F Yourself, thanks.

Yo, Halil Efendi, Clinton did not mention anything about "political equality", so does that then mean she does not support BBF with "political equality", therefore, are you then willing to accept that being the truth since you accepted everything else Clinton to have said to be the truth.
