Is the TRNC Recognised?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Is the TRNC Recognised?

Postby MrH » Wed Jul 13, 2011 9:43 pm

The TRNC has an Official embassy in Ankara (regularly visited by other embassy heads from around the world) and Consulates in Mersin and Istanbul; Offices of Representatives in London, Washington, New York, Brussels, Pakistan and Abu Dhabi. Honorary Representatives in Italy, Germany, Austria, Canada, South Africa and Finland. There is a Turkish embassy, British High Commissioner and German Consulate in the TRNC.

The newly proposed "United Cyprus Republic", Ban Ki Moon Plan, being worked on will compromise of the "Republic of Cyprus - Greek Cypriot State (in short)" and the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus - Turkish Cypriot State (in short)". Even if this is rejected or the GCs refute such a Federal Scenario, any series of Cyprus based talks can only be discussed on a Bi-Partnership platform, like it has been since 1963!

Is British pride gone?

MrH, nice flag. Are you proud of it?
Is it the same flag which in your name promised to uphold the Republic of Cyprus?

Ps. What is "TRNC"?

We already voted no to the Annan plan so there is no need for another referendum unless you agree to a plan which will be much better than the Annan plan.

Mr H and his wild extrapolations ....

A butterfly flaps its wings in the south and that leads to a world-wide recognition of the north ...

Do you have a link to anything where the UNSG refers to a "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus"?
