The CY Electricity Authority are saying that they will implement a second 2 hour cut per day (outside the tourist areas.)

..."The very best that the EAC can do under the present circumstances is to strictly observe the two-hour power cuts. Since insufficient power is being generated, a second two-hour cut to the electricity supply will be implemented in the same order as the first each day"...

Power cuts will be once a day for a maximum of 2.5 hours for each zone from 8am until 7pm. They are also planning to start sending SMS messages to those affected a few minutes before electricity goes down...
