Do you think Syria now has a thorough understanding of the depth of Christofias's loyalty?I

My question was couched in sarcasm and so was the thread's title. The negligence is so very blatant that it makes the ensuing tragedy appear surreal. Who, with an ounce of common sense, leaves explosives in the heat near a power plant for two years ... and why? But then I suppose politics isn't very often pragmatic.

Rumor has it that our top executive gave a stern command for the explosives not to go off until a political decision on the matter was to be reached. The explosives remnants' will suffer the consequences for insubordination, I am sure.

Christofias must resign for one simple reason: depleted credibility!

The ex- Defense Minister had stated that the explosives were so safe that they could have even been stored in a residential area. Just imagine ...

The Incompetence of your associate & your own lack of judgement can only be answered by an apology and a resignation.
It takes courage.

And now it has beeen confirmed that nearly every rule in the book had been broken in how these explosives had been stored:

Had those items been properly stored when they came ashore in 2009 then they would not have exploded as they did and we would not now be facing a EU1 billion or so bill to rebuild / replace Vassilikon, suffering all of the greif that goes with the tragedy.

Not only that but there are other out-dated ammunitions which were reportedly another potential hazard due to deterioration.

Simple really, we are amateurs in everything we do. When dealing with serious issues, like militarism, we just walk on a tight rope and pray to god that everything will go well for us. Do you remember all these stupid people in this forum who argued that we should go to war with Turkey? Can you just begin to imagine the consequences of such a folly?

And this is what Christofias's friends are up to now...

Syria: dozens dead as Assad troops launch major tank offensive
Bodies littered the streets of Hama on Sunday as the Syrian army launched major tank offensives across the country in a fresh bid to crush the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad.
