I am truly sorry for all people.
I heard talk about radiation? I travel to Cyprus tomorrow and I want to know what to expect?

If you are arriving at night and the island is glowing, don't get off the plane!

There is no radiation ... where did you read such thing?? It was gunpowder that exploded. All damage is done already!

There have been many discussions on the local TV channels about the possibility that the containers had depleted uranium in some of them. This is totally unconfirmed, and it is depleted uranium, meaning extremely low levels of radiation. So there is a basis to the query.

If you will live in a tourist area then there will be no electricity or water cuts. In other areas there might be a few electricity and water cuts for the next few weeks.

If the weapons stored had tank shells, it is more than likely that these tank shells had depleted uranium tips, which is designed to penetrate the tanks heavy armour, but since it is depleted, so would be it's radiation level to probably no stronger than what you would get from the sun. But to be on the safe side, all those who has been in close vicinity where the explosion took place, should get checked out for any radiation levels for their own piece of mind. Don't forget, tank crews are around these depleted uranium tipped shells all the time in their tanks. If it's safe for them, it should be safe to others.
