Cyprus needs an asphyxiating time frame!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

1. Turkey agrees to withdraw all its army from Cyprus;

Aint gonna happen. Come hell or high water, troops are staying. geographic importance. (has nothing to do with TC safety)

2. Cyprus supports Turkey on joining the European Union

We'd be cutting our own throats.

Turkey and Cyprus establish free movement of goods and peoples and Turkey opens its ports and airports to Cyprus and other European Union members;

Catch 22

The so called treaty of guarantee is abolished because is anachronistic and contradicts the sovereignty of nations; neither Greece nor Turkey should have a say in the affairs of Cyprus;

Agreed

Who will guarantee our security?

How will the federal government work?

How land will make up each state?

Music to my ears Viewpoint, it's pleasant to read news reports based around what we've been trying to tell these GCs from day one...I guess it's like trying to teach a child how to play the Piano - one day they will get it after a few slaps on the wrist, or two!

But Davutoglu wants a united Cyprus in a few months. You'd better come up with something, VP. Or you'll be left staring into that bloody chasm...
