How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey hopes for Cyprus referendum in early 2012

Postby All4114All » Sat Jul 09, 2011 3:29 pm

(Reuters) - Turkey hopes terms for the reunification of Cyprus can be agreed by the end of the year so that a referendum can take place in early 2012, Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutogolu said on a visit to the Turkish Cypriot enclave in the north of the island Saturday.

"We hope to find a solution to the Cyprus problem by the end of the year, and hold a referendum in the early months of next year so that Cyprus can take on the presidency of the EU as a new state that represents the whole island," Davutoglu told a joint news conferences with the president of northern Cyprus, Dervish Eroglu.

Cyprus was split in a Turkish invasion in 1974 triggered by a brief Greek inspired coup. Its Greek Cypriots represent the island internationally and in the European Union, and say Turkey cannot join the bloc until the division of the island is resolved. Hey Dumbatoglu, you're going to need a pretty big carpet to sweep under the ridiculous and embarrassing situation that an EU Candidate (Glorious Republic of Turkey) is maintaining an illegal military occupation on the Sovereign territory of the 2012 EU president(Cyprus) to maintain ethnic cleansing.

Do not despair Ahmet!
In the end Turkey will control Cyprus as much as Cyprus will control Turkey (and Constantinople).

Cyprus is discussing with the fascists in Turkey since the 1950s. And Turkey's mild fascists are discussing with Apo. Let's see if we can find the right "EQUALITY" to apply to two very difficult situations in majority minority relations!

In the end, Viewpoint and co. will have as much rights in RoC as a Kurd in RoT (to be renamed RoTK). Why should either ethnic minority be entitled to more?

This is the promise of democracy!
The rest is fascist Turks and blind tCypriots breaking wind.
