Or is it a propanda stunt to ultimately end the talks?

The respective population size makes little difference, the larger the sample (in proportion to population) the more accurate it's likely to be, so the TC one is probably a bit more "accurate". What is more important is how the samples were selected. Asking 1000 Gcs leaving a football match and 1000TCs in a village would obviously not give a valid result. Surveys like this can easily be "bent" by asking loaded questions in order to achieve the desired result.

The poll was conducted with a sample of 1,000 Greek Cypriots and 1,000 Turkish Cypriots using face to face interviews at the homes

I also wonder if one tells the interviewer what they really believe in or what he thinks it's popular to say in a face to face interview at one's home, depending on which side of the divide one lives in.

Having read through the survey I thought that some of the actual questions were odd, for example "Fewer properties to be returned to individual Greek Cypriots in the Turkish Cypriot state in return for more territory and villages to become part of the Greek Cypriot state and more settlers from Turkey to depart from Cyprus". Linking separate issues like this may result in an answer that the sample believes most strongly in, he may not care about the others.

With regard to face to face interviews, many people give the answer they believe the inteviewer wants to hear especially when he/she knows where they live. It could be a useful way of finding out which detergent you prefer but not something as sensitive as the Cyprus problem. I imagine the results from displaced Cypriots would be diffent from those who had not had to relocate, I wonder if the samples were weighted to reflect this.

Bollocks poll. The vast majority of GCs does not wish BBF or any other form of disguised partition. :D

Viewpoint, shall we place emphasis on the 'f...ing' or the 'bas...d'? Please clarify!
You should not let developments get to you. In the end you will enjoy not a single right less than a Kurd in Turkey. Be happy!
