Green Nissi Beach?

Postby bizzybabe » Wed Jul 06, 2011 9:45 am

Hi i've heard that Nissi beach is currently covered in green algae? Can anyone confirm this? I've heard that its usual clear waters are now murky green and horrible?

Is it true? and what could have caused this?

It's now been a full 3 days since GR visited that beach and it's pretty much cleared now.

There was a lot of algae in the water when I went a month ago. It didn't change the otherwise clear and relatively clean waters. But the slimey substance does cling to you so it aint that pleasant either.

Last time I went to napa was a while ago so I don't know but I generally don't like algae and sea grass and all that. But it is all natural and harmless :)
