North Cyprus to go dark as electric cut looms

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

North Cyprus to go dark as electric cut looms

Postby CBBB » Mon Jul 04, 2011 9:38 am

The Turkish Cypriot electricity provider Kıb-Tek has announced that electricity at “state offices” will be cut, starting from this morning. ‘Kıb-Tek has a long list of debtors, including the ‘Finance Ministry’, many ‘state offices’, ‘mosques’, the ‘BRT TV’ and Greek Cypriot inhabitants in the Karpaz area.
According to a statement issued by Kıb-Tek director Mehmet Özçelik, ‘The decision will not exclude individuals and private corporations and we are determined to implement it”
However, Municipalities are denying the debts and offer ‘settling the accounts’ to the company.
Speaking to Havadis, Oktay Kayalp, ‘Famagusta Mayor’, said, the services of the municipalities will stop if such decision is implemented.
Kayalp said; “arrangements for settling accounts between the company and the municipalities were made in the past. A consensus should be reached between the sides because the people will suffer in the end because of the dispute.”

It's amazing how the Kypreos enclaved in Karpasia are targeted even in this occasion. The truth is the majority of people living in the occupied don't pay. And this does not concern electricity bills ONLY. It concerns ALL bills.
As for VAT......

VP doesn't need electricity. He lives in a cave and does survivalist training every day. He eats nothing but berries and wild grass and drinks his own urine. He is preparing for Turkey's plan B for Cyprus which he assures us is coming any day.
