This is remarkable.

Many will know that the popular, we drive safely and give good service at less than rip-off prices CY taxi-drivers have been agitating for weeks for increases in public bus fares, for limits on buses, no night buses etc etc.

Well the lilly livered, spineless and ball-less Communications Minister, a Ms Kozakou-Marcoullis, has caved in to some of their demands with fare increases and caps on night services!... Outrageous.

So whilst the rest of the world strives to increase the quality and attractiveness of public bus services, this gut-less politician has given in to Interest Group Pressure from the taxi-drivers. What sort of way is this to run a country's transport policy?

All the above in my opinion.

How about some "dynamic measures" by Bus Drivers such as blocking a roundabout or two, or restricting access to the airports in protest at the action by Taxi Drivers? After all, Bus Drivers should be permitted a living too.
